Hedgehog Coin Purse Crochet Pattern
To make this purse I use Patons DK smoothie in ‘Linen’ beige, This yarn is 200m per 100g so despite being classed as dk weight, it is thicker than most other dk yarns! Please check the details on your yarn labels – any yarn of the same weight / length ratio would be suitable for this pattern (I have been advised that size 3 yarn works well)!
Similarly I use Hayfield Bonus Aran in ‘Barley’ brown but any yarn of a similar weight/length would be ok.
Please note, to make this coin purse you will also need an arch frame kiss purse clasp. These are available on ebay (or in various craft stores) – you will need a clasp that is 9 cm wide.

Crochet Watermelon Coin Purse with Pony Beads
Summer crochet projects can be so much fun! Especially when they are in watermelon form! I made a cute little crochet watermelon coin purse using pony beads for the seeds! Caron Simply Soft yarn was perfect for this project with it’s vibrant colors and the ability to create small tight stitches. Plus, the yarn is thin enough (but not too thin!) to fit through the 4mm pony beads.
Finished size is approximately 5.5 inches long by 4 inches wide (at bottom).
Before you start you need to string your pony beads onto your red yarn. You will want to string on about 45 beads.
