Body

Start with yellow color.
Rnd 1. 5 sc in MR (5)
Tug the tail to tighten the ring. Put your stitch marker here and move it each round.

Rnd 3. inc, sc, 2inc, sc, inc =10
Rnd 4. sc, 7 inc, 2sc =17
Rnd 5. 4 sc, (inc,sc)*5, 3 sc =22

Rnd 6. 5 sc, (inc,sc)*6, 5 sc =28
Rnd 7. 6 sc, (inc,sc)*8, 6 sc =36
Rnd 8-9. 36 sc =36 (2 rounds)
Rnd 10-11. 8 sc, change to dark blue color, 20sc, change to yellow color, 8 sc =36 (2 rounds).

Place the safety eyes (8mm) 8 sts apart. The eyes positions are about 3 rounds from the dark blue part (on the face).

If you mark the position of the eyes with pins beforehand, it will be more assured.
Rnd 14-15. 10 sc, change to dark blue color, 16 sc, change to yellow color, 10 sc =36 (2 rounds).

Tail

Start with dark blue color.
We will start with a foundation chain.

Change to light blue color.

Rnd 3. 20 sc =20
Rnd 4. (dec,8sc)*2 =18

Cut the yarn leaving long to sew later.

Dorsal fin (Make 2)

Start with dark blue color.

Change to dark blue color.

Cut the yarn and sew the opening with a tapestry needle.

Hair

Ch 7, turn, work 1 sc in each of the 6 chains, ch 7, work 1 sc in each of the 6 chains, ch 7, work 1 sc in each of the 6 chains.
Fasten off and cut the yarn leaving long to sew later.

Assembling

Sew the tail first on the body, in the middle of the back side. If you mark the position of the tail with pins beforehand, it will be more assured.
Sew the dorsal fins on the body as in the picture below.
Pin the hair just from the bottom on the head and sew gently.
Pin the pectoral fins on the right side and left side of the body and sew gently.
Embroider the eyebrows and the mouth using thin black yarn.
