This is a beginner to intermediate amigurumi monster pattern written in a clear, easy-to-follow format using basic stitches only. The first six rounds are crocheted following an oval scheme. At the beginning of each round, make 1 ch and join with a sl st at the end.

R1: With blue yarn, ch 12. Starting from the second ch from the hook, work 1 sc, then 9 sc, 3 sc in the last stitch, continue on the opposite side with 9 sc, 2 sc in the last stitch, sl st (24)

Assembly

Sew the eyes between rounds 14 and 16, leaving a distance of 2 sc between them.
Glue the half-bead eyes using super glue.
Sew the horns to the top edges along the slip stitch line.
Sew the arms between rounds 10 and 11.
Sew the legs to the four oval rounds at the bottom of the body, leaving 2–3 sc between them.
Embroider the lips with bright pink plush yarn using slip stitches.
